Stan has been part of the Shelley’s team since 1993, bringing with him a lifelong devotion to music and an unmatched expertise in traditional 2-channel stereo. A turntable specialist and certified Linn LP-12 expert, Stan is known far beyond California for his deep knowledge of analog audio and his ability to make music come alive. With the resurgence of re-mastered and new vinyl, Stan’s work has only grown in demand—his name is well known among audiophiles who seek warmth, precision, and soul in their listening experiences.
His passion for pure, accurate sound is rooted in decades of hands-on experience. Before joining Shelley’s, Stan worked as a recording engineer, capturing both in-studio and live performances with the kind of care only a fellow musician could offer. A former trombonist, Stan doesn’t just understand music—he feels it, which makes his guidance especially valuable to those who care about the emotional impact of great audio. His deep understanding of electronics is further grounded in his work on airborne flight communications at Packard Bell’s Space and Missile division. He is also a proud member of the Audio Engineering Society.
Outside of the showroom, Stan is just as passionate about the skies and the table. A licensed pilot, he often takes to the air in single-engine planes on weekends. On the ground, he’s equally known for his refined taste in wine.
